Position Description: Shift Supervisor
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Powder Shift Supervisor oversees the daily production operations of the plant under the direction of Powder Plant Manager. The Shift Supervisor monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met, and develops production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers. The manager also directs production staff, including hiring/training of personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure the Line Supervisors and all operators are performing their required tasks and assignments while following all established safety rules and procedures.
- Maintain safe working environment through effective housekeeping and spill /leak prevention measures.
- Interfaces with the Floquip technical organization to ensure we are operating the process within its technical specifications, implementing effective process improvements, and maintaining the equipment appropriately.
- Minimize and control labor costs by enforcing and/or adjusting schedules as needed.
- Maintain and maximize manufacturing effectiveness by reducing run times and downtime while increasing efficiency.
- Document and investigate all EHS&S accidents and incidents.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process to reduce the generation of off-spec and waste.
- Ensure all preventative and reactive maintenance is completed to maintain safe, efficient machine operations.
- Check that finished product meets all customer and internal specs and sign off order.

Position Description: Team Leader
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Team leader is responsible for making sure the plant running efficiently and oversees all operations in the building. The Team Leaders support the Powder Plant Supervisors by constantly reviewing all phases of operation in the building. The Team Leader may fill in at various positions in the plant as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Correct/address any and all safety issues in the building.
- Monitor the shift changes and shift change documentation to ensure thorough and accurate shift change communication takes place between all operators on the shift.
- Provide troubleshooting support as needed and coordinate maintenance to keep the plant running efficiently.
- Monitor the three process areas to ensure proper process checks and accuracy of documentation.
- Coordinate activities and maintain communication with the shift supervisor.
- Interfaces with the Floquip technical organization to ensure we are operating the process within its technical specifications, implementing effective process improvements, and maintaining the equipment appropriately.
- Continuously audit bag room operations to ensure all product leaving is in the proper packaging, at the required weights, and labeled properly
- Support operators as needed to maximize the efficiency of the plants while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure that operators can identify and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for process areas.
- Understand and follow permit procedures i.e. confined space, hot work, and line break.
- Provide training support as required.
- Coordinate support organizations efforts in the plants to ensure raw materials and operating supplies are available
- Complete Team leaders report and shift efficiency charts.

Position Description: Board Operator
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Dryer Operator dries and grinds the polyacrylamide gel to meet customer specs and to efficiently produce finished product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Successful completion of all bagger skills and demonstrated proficiency in
bagger position.
- Understand purpose and methods of process checks.
- Knows and understands ingredients of polyacrylamide gel to ensure adequate
grinding and treatment of equipment.
- Operating and adjusting process parameters to ensure product quality and
optimal drying productivity.
- Knows and understand dangers of equipment and process chemicals and can
operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment.
- Operate and maintain forklift.
- Able to record information accurately.
- Identify and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report and mitigate all unsafe behaviors.
- Identify and understand properties and hazards of chemicals.
- Complete all process checks such as speck tests, free flow, moistures, solubilities, and span test.
- Understand and follow permit procedures i.e. confined space, hot work, and
line break.
- Read, Follow, and understand all drying procedures.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

Position Description: Polymerizer Tech Chemist
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Polymerizer accurately mixes chemical and controls reactions to produce products for further process areas within the Powder Plants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Read, follow and understand polymerization procedures.
- Ability to read and understand formulations and accurately calculate chemical concentrations to ensure product quality.
- Identify and understand properties and hazards of chemicals used to form finished products.
- Understand all reaction conditions and purpose of chemicals used in the polymerization process.
- Understand and perform catalyst calculations for tank charges to ensure product quality.
- Operate process controls and troubleshoot equipment used in the polymerization process.
- Know proper order of addition of chemicals.
- Know and understand drawdown procedures.
- Ability to read and understand reaction curves to provide accurate dump times to the dryer operator.
- Ability to take appropriate actions to contain and recover chemicals due to accidental spills.
- Conduct necessary process checks such as PH, UL, and solubility analysis.
- Identify and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for process area.
- Understand and follow permit procedures i.e. confined space, hot work, and line break.
- Ability to identify, communicate and mitigate if possible all unsafe behaviors, conditions and spills.
